How often should my toddler poo?

Straight to the point.

How often should be two and a half year old daughter pooh? WHats the normal range?
She is presumed healthy, has no problems when stools come and eats a well balanced diet..... I think....

My DD is also two and a half. Usually two per day - one between 8am and 11am (usually earlier) and then another one between 5:30pm and 7:00pm. Not always, of course. Tonight's later one was presented in the bath. Lovely. When asked why, she says she was having too much fun to get out of the bath...

I would say as often as is normal for her?

My 2.5 year old poos at the very least once a day, but very often twice or three times... e.g. yesterday 3; today 2 = sore bum!

Anything from once or twice a week to 2 or 3 times a day is pretty normal IMHO. As long as they are comfortable.

DD mostly has 2 each day at random times. Not helping the potty training much

5 times a day here - but he does eat a huge amount of food!

My 2.6 yo DD tends to poo once a day. Sometimes it's twice, but usually it's once. If she ever misses a day she tends to get a bit grumpy and you can tell she's uncomfortable. She never, ever poos when at preschool though - she saves it for when she gets home

generally......

he gets up - he poos
he has breakfast - he poos
he has lunch - he poos
he has tea - he poos
he has bedtime snack - he poos

costing me a fortune in nappies - making up for the fact that when he was BF baby he went days and days with no poo at all. the record was 19 days between poos.

DD goes about every third day!

The HV said anything between 3 times a day and every 3 days is normal.

dd and ds sometimes poo daily but other times can go up to 3 days between them with no ill effects.

Thanks, dd has just poohed after 4 days of waiting.... but she was a little poorly and eating slightly less.

Also was 4 ENORMOUS logs.... and not painful so am pleased
