Walking just not at nursery

My boy is almost 16 mo. We constantly walk round the house/garden and spent a good hour running round the park this morning. He has been fairly confidently walking for about 3 weeks now but still has never taken any steps (not even cruised) at nursery. He goes 3 days a week since Xmas and I think he is still settling slightly.
I guess I just need to be patient and know that it's nothing to be concerned about, just wondered if anyone had cone across this before? Is it just a confidence thing?

Not come across this exactly, but I know that both mine would walk in some places and not others. For instance, inside and not outside, to begin with. I'm pretty sure it is a confidence thing. Even a different floor covering can affect them, and added to that the fact that other DCs are running around, he's bound to feel a bit insecure at first.

No experience with nursery here, either, but DD is almost 14m and started to walk around the house but will mostly crawl in the park.
Must be confidence thing, don't worry, it'll sort itself out soon.

My ds is seven now, but when he was in nursery he refused to speak. He was speaking fluenty at home but the minute he went thru the nursery door he became mute. When he was 2 and a half a staff member took me to one side and advised me that they thought he had a speech problem.
Eventually he did start to speak at nursery but he would never speak if I was present. He always seemed to be happy there though.
When he left to go to school the problem disappeared.

Well fear not - I went to collect ds from nursery earlier and he ever so casually stood up and confidentally strolled across the room to me! The girls in there were gobsmacked (and I was secretly whooping inside).
Hooray!
