Maybe I'm worrying about nothing but DS2 is nearly 7mo. He sleeps on a night from about 6.30 till 5am and most mornings he is soaked through, it never seems to worry him so I could only assume he was only just getting really wet when he was waking IYSWIM. However the last few nights he has been really fitfull on a night time and has been waking about 6 hrs after going to bed, I think due to teething, and each night we have bought him downstairs and he has been soaked. Obviously he has been changed but then 5-6 hrs later he is again soaked! Is this normal?

He has 4 8oz bottles every day at 4hr intervals and small amounts of water with his lunch and dinner! I just don't want to leave it if there could be some underlying problem, but maybe I 'm just going to have to resort to changing him in the night. Any advice please?

I used to put ds down at 7ish and have to change his nappy in his sleep at 10/11ish until he was about 18m and it was those 12hr dryness ones too.

Can I give you a tip youve not asked for and may not care about? If he wakes do not bring him downstairs, we used to with ds and it caused big sleep probs later.

When you say 'soaked through' do you mean right through to his babygro or is it just that his nappy is very full and heavy?

If it is the latter, then I think that is normal - certainly my 2 DC's who have both slept through from an early age always woke up from a full nights sleep with an extremely full nappy (but it hadn't leaked). I think this is perfectly normal considering they haven't been changed for 12 hours.

If it is leaking, I am not sure as I haven't had any experience of that.

When I say soaked through I mean through his babygro, sleepsuit and sleeping bag!
Thanks waitingforbedtime, we do try not to bring him downstairs but DS1 2yrs is quite a light sleeper and in the room next door and I just worry that 2 DC with bad nights sleep would = bad day!
