Just what is DS1 doing to all the knees of his trousers and how can I get him to stop??

He is 3.8 and his trousers have never developed holes in the knees.....until this last month. He has ruined 3 pairs of trousers in as many weeks (they are all oldish ones but all seem to have gone at the same time ) and unfortunately they were all his fave ones that are no longer available in the shops.

It is going to cost me a fortune if he carries on like this - how do boys do this???

ds is the same
he has patches on his school trousers
I assume they race around and land on their knees or summat.
All of hos trousers eventually rip at the knees
I think someone should invent school trousers with reinforced knees.

Summer is here soon and he can have shorts ??

Some of the LOs at our school love to run along and skid on there knees - perhaps he is doing this ?

I find that jeans are the worst for this...and you're right; they all seem to go at the same time! My DD(8) is the same so it's not just the boys. I have actually seen trousers with reinforced knees but they can tend to look a bit goofy--like those crawling trousers for babies.

My DS (7) also has this - he crawls around pushing toy cars.

Shona that is a good point actually - DS2 is 16 months old and has been in his current clothes for at least 4 months....he is not walking yet so crawls everywhere and he does not have a hole in sight in any of his trousers. So it must be something that older children do

Not just jeans here - he has ruined his favourite Mr Bump jeans, Thomas jogging bottoms and Cars combat trousers so far so all he is left with is the 'boring' plain jeans/trousers with no characters on
