hi have name changed for this .

Ds is 11yrs old , he was in a lovely mood yesterday morning & with Dh's help brought me up tea & toast in bed & gave me flowers & a beautiful card for mothers day
he went out to play in the afternoon & ended up having an argument with one of his friends , came home upset (his very best friend moved away last weekend) he is missing his best friend
At this stage he started to wind up his little sister which ended up them both fighting so i gave out to them both & Ds started to scream & shout at me that " he wishes he was never born & that he was going to commit suicide " this has me very upset , Dh & i both sat him down & told him he means the world to both of us & we never want to hear him say anything like this again , Ive been giving him lots of extra cuddles today , not sure what else to do .

You could take him to see your GP. The upset caused by his friend leaving could be heightened by hormones. I know another boy this happened to. He was 3 years younger. Scared the life out of his parents with the threats he used to make.

yes pixie he definitely said it out of anger & being upset , he is fine today & DH had a talk with him & explained that suicide is a long term solution to a short term problem , ds knows we are always here to listen if he is upset , broke my heart to hear him say that though .
