hi iam just looking for a bit of advice as of what to do. I think my 5 year old son may have adhd but the school isnt taking my concerns about my son serious. I know you shouldnt really do this but his behaviour has gotten that bad that i did a test online about him regarding adhd and the results were shocking he was in the high risk catergory in all the sections. He cannot read or write as well as other children in his class or as well as my 2 elder children could at his age and i know children that all children are different with there development. but there is 1 teacher in particular that is listening to my concerns and has put him on the special needs register. My doctor has told me that he needs a referal from the school but the head mistress dont seem to think that he has adhd and that he is just a naugty child.WHAT CAN I DO??????????????/

my nephew has development skills at the moment he is 7 and the school have only just picked up on it. when he moves on in the school a teacher may take it serious enough to get you help. there are 100's of development problems so dont just assume its adhd it could be dyspaxia ect the list is endless. but when you eventually get help the hospital can put a diagnosis on it for you, which is happening with my nephew. good luck and try not to worry someone with more experience will be along soon
