Ds is just over a cold and has got his appeptite back. However he's also just started spitting out food. Anything and everything.
Should I worry?
Is it just a new trick?

Hi

Depends how old he is?? If you react and he's old enough to realise that you are, it's a new trick! Even if mummy doesn't think it's clever!!!

How long has he been at it? Is it everything, including sweets/treats or just meals? Is it drinks too?

More info please

He's 11 months. I've tried not to react and just treat t like his messy eating- wipe up slops and try again.
It usually with weetabix or ready brek at breakfast although he did it a bit with tea last night- spitting out tiny pasta shells and sweet corn.
I gave up on ready brek today and he did much better with cheerio type cereal and milk.

when dd does this it's because she's not hungry, doesn't like it or being a bugger.
Try to let it go over your head, don't make it into an issue and just put up with it till it stops.

whoops that's what I suspected. I was wondering if he didn't like having hot breakfast now it's getting warmer. He might just be being a monkey!

A phase me thinks but a change in his breakfast seems to have worked!? Agree with whoops, try to ignore it. If it's not everything that goes into his mouth, it's unlikely to be a physical issue - pain etc, more a "let's see what happens when I spit this out!"

Have fun

Ah, bless him! Yeah, sounds like he was trying to tell you he wasn't hungry!!!

Hope he's ok soon and the rest of you don't get it! Usually what happens here!!!

my hands are now cracked and bleeding from obsessive hand washing and also having to wash the sofa covers last night by hand as they were covered! [bleugh]
