DS testosterone spurts

My DS is 7 and usually quiet sensitive boy, does what is asked etc. Every so often he changes, ie, not so willing to do what I ask, plays rougher, I guess becomes more of a boy! I've read in a book this can be due to testosterone spurts, anyone else experienced this?

Yes, we see this with ds who is 5. He gets totally 'wired' for a few days/weeks and can't sleep and struggles to control his behaviour and aggression. We have also put it down to testosterone spurts.
