Help, my dd seems unable to wipe her bottom properly if at all! she is a clever girl, polite clean BUT rushes to toilet poos and leaves, often not flushing and not wiping. I have tried lots of ways to sort this out and she just seems to simply forget.Any suggestions on what to do, or is she the only 7yr old girl like this???

Not the only one. Our dd did this too frequently and the number of pairs of knickers I threw away is beyond counting. What worked for us was a 'special' (super expensive) printed roll of toilet paper that only she was allowed to use followed by wet wipes. she grew out of it luckily.

My nearly 9 year old still does this sometimes, usually when he's in a rush to do something FAR more exciting than flush the loo or wipe his bum. I still have to remind him to wash his hands.

i have chart on back of door that i have drawn for my ds who is 5 so he can see it when sat on toilet

pull down pants
sit on toilet
wipe bottom
flush chain
wash hands

he does it every time as he reads the chart while on toilet
