How do you deal with a 3 yr old's constant demand for the loo/drink when it's bedtime

if they've had a drink and been to the loo so you know it's only a ruse, say no and walk them back to bed and say goodnight, when they get out again, walk them back in and keep doing it until it sinks in (after the first goodnight and explaining they don't need anything else, don't say anything on the other trips back) - that's what supernanny would do anyway but I found it very hard work. It's hard but you have to stick to it because these little people are very smart and it takes a few attempts before they realise there's no point to this - good luck x

Oh, it is wearing, isn't it?

Ds is still footering around with his bloody fire engine up there.

He's already forced out a poo (sorry, may be tmi) and I have been up twice to find missing objects from his bedside table.

Same every bloody night.

I wouldn't mind, but he has been rubbing his eyes and whining about being tired since 4pm.

thanks for the messages
yes we've been doing that for about a year I think Serialweightwatcher
it just seems neverending doesnt it nickytwotimes
I'm hoping she'll grow out of it, it is more annoying because I know I'll have to wake her up in the meongin to get to school and nursery on time when if she just slept from 7pm it wouldn't be a problem and she wouldnt be knackered

Yep, never ending.

Just finished yelling from the bottom of the stairs in totally mad-fishwife manner.

GOd, I'd love someone to put me to bed.
