I'm just about to stop bf and move dd onto formula just wondering, when did you move your little ones on from stage 1? did you then move on to stage 2 which seems to be hungry baby or just go straight to stage 3. What age are they supposed to start stage 3 from?

g was breast fed then on foluma from 6 months and stayed on it til 9 months then he went on stage 3 you don t need to always use stage 2 you can skip it made for babies that stage one the babies gulp fast so 2 is made thicker to slow them down

we were told by the hv not to bother with any stages just go straight from the first formula onto cows milk at age 1.

Also Aptamil was the only milk -inc breast milk- that my dd1 would take so it must have something going for it..

Tigger - Stage 2 is thicker so that it takes longer to digest, so that they aren't hungry soon after their feed, not to slow their gulping down.

No need to switch stages. Stick with Stage 1 until it's time for fresh cows milk. The different stages are just formula companies ways of getting around the advertising ban on Stage 1 formula imo.

DD was on stage 2 most of the time but she went straight from that to cows' milk, none of thise stage 3 stuff. There is no point to it.

My DD went straight from stage 1 to cows milk at 12mths.

Never was a hungry baby so no need to switch to that.
