toilet training

My daughter is nearly 3 and is showing no interest at all in toilet training. We have bought books / sticker charts pretty pants ect. I am very causual about it and put her under no pressure. We have tried both toilet and potty. She is very switched on for her age and understands completely what we want of her. I have 2 other children age 10 and 21 and had no trouble with them. I think there seems to be more pressure these days on parents. I am constantly being asked by other mothers, health visitors ect if she has started toilet training yet. As long as it happens before she starts pre school I'm not that bothered but am begining to feel embarrassed when people ask. Any advice.

ds did not show any interest either at this age.

We wanted to start so that he is nearly there when baby arrived.

We bought a last pack of nappies and told him there are no more after that. We used different ones for day and night anyway so we only dropped the day ones.

About two weeks after "cold turkey" we did not have many accidents. Short relapse once baby was born, but thanks to sticker chart thats fine now.

DD was not really at all interested at the beginning of last summer when nearly 3. At the end of the summer she was toilet trained and (touch wood) has never had an accidrent in the day and only once at night. She did it on her own initiative as I really couldn't get focussed on it. So it will happen when it happens and why rush it? She has the next 90 or so years to practice.
