Hi
I have a 6 month old who used to sleep really well through the night but has just recently started waking up and crying for his dummy to be put back in.
I run like the clappers to his room so that he doesn't wake up his sister who is in the next room as then I have double the trouble with them both awake.
I want him to learn to settle himself back to sleep and realise this means me leaving him to cry it out, but what to do?
I'm not sure what's even waking him and some nights I can be running to him 5-6 times which is leaving me knackered the next day.
I got into this awful routine with my eldest daughter and continued with it on & off for a year. Determined not to fall into the same trap.
Do you think I should take his dummy away altogether? Is it a case that we all rough it for a few nights till he learns to settle without his dummy.
Would really appreciate any advice from someone who's been through this before!
Thanks x

The only thing I could suggest is what I would do, which is put him in bed with us. My DS2 went through a stage like this about this age, he may just be teething and need some extra comfort but will soon be back to normal.
