Falling asleep UNDER covers

Every night DS, 26 months, falls asleep totally covered by his duvet. I've assumed it started because he was scared of something, though now I don't really know if he is scared or has developed a habit of doing it. I normally go up to his room about half an hour after putting him to bed to find him hot and sweating under the duvet.

Is this common? Do you think it is dangerous?

I started leaving a light on in his room but that hasn't stopped this behaviour.

My dd 2.10 has done this for a while, we have pulled duvet down but she just wriggles further down. If your ds is a bit hot, maybe only put him in a vest rather than pj top or geta thinner quilt.

weird - my ds (2.8) does this - thought it was just him! Not sure what to do either. We check on him and pull it down but who knows what happens the rest of the night..

I still do this, and I am 39. As far as I can remember, I have always slept like that. Nice and conforting, and it keeps you warm. I would worry about it. If it gets too hot, you just crawl up a bit.

Sorry, I meant I would NOT worry about it
