dd is 4 with a developmental age of around 2.Terrible 2 is really kicking in and she is currently going through a phase of hitting, headbutting and generally kicking off if we do something she doesn't want to do.

She wouldn't be able to conceptualise naughty step or the like.

I am repeating firmly "no" and she generally laughs and repeats the behaviour. At the moment the only thing that gets her to stop is if I pretend to cry and say "Ow,Mummy hurt,xx naughty hitting/headbutting,no!" then heR lip wobbles and she bawls too.I feel it is awful as I don't really want to make her cry,but I am at my wits end.I think she has a little knowledge she is being naughty as she has a "naughty" face where she puts her head down and looks a bit sheepish...

I'm not explaining this very well but I would be grateful for any tips or ideas.TIA.
