Hi All

Silly request you may all think, but just wondering if any of you have tips or advice for a first time mummi :D

Our DS is coming up for 11 months soon, and he has just started pulling himself up to standing in his cotbed. Now this was cute the first few times he did it, but now I just panic, because a couple of times now he just lets himself go (lunges almost!) because he can't bring himself down very well, I have been trying to teach him how to come down, and not much is sinking in.

Has anyone got any handy tips or advice to get past this stage with minimal injuries?! Poor little mite tends to do it first thing in the morning when we are all just getting up to go into him. Or he will be just ready to go to bed, and is very tired, we plop him down, and then all of a sudden he will start crying, we walk in, and although he is very tired, he is standing in his cotbed, upset that he can't get back down again! Bless him, but very frustrating for us! Any tips or knowledge of how long exactly this stage lasts??!!

Wits end!

TIA

he'll only hurt himself a couple of times before he gets the gist of things - your not doing him any favours just let him learn.

if you are really worried get some cot bumbers or weave a blanket through or something to act as a buffer

Thanks for that. He has actually done over a couple of times of hurting himself, hence why I am on here! He also has cot bumpers already but these days they don't appear to be as deep as they used to (I have been told!)

If anyone else has any tips and advice would be much appreciated :D

TIA
