Tips for leaving 20 month old in creche

We are off on holiday in two weeks and are planning to leave dd in hotel crèche for morning while we ski. Will give her breakfast then leave her to play for about 3 hours and pick her up at lunch. Dd is a happy confident little thing and used to being left with her nanny but obviously this is different.

Any tips on what to expect and
making it easy? If she really hates it I won't leave her but I do think that the opportunity to play with other kids and
do toddler stuff will be nice for her as well as allowing me to ski.

Why would you take your child on holiday and leave here with a stranger?

Why don't you do a trial run before hand and leave her at a gym creche or something prior to going on holiday then you can gauge what she is going to be like at being left on holiday. Hopefully, she will love it and you will be able to have some fun time whilst she is happy in a new environment too. Good luck!

why would you answer an innocent question with a nasty jibe?

I don't think there is much you can do though as you don't know what the set up is.

I'd normally try them for a bit with me there before leaving dc on their own in creche/nursery, so maybe plan for a few visits before building up to the 3 hours? But as you say she's confident so I guess you'll judge it as you go. If she has a favourite animal be sure to take that in as well as her own beaker etc, seems to help all of mine. If it doesn't work I'm sure you could still going skiing and dh spends quality time with her!
Nic, really unwarranted comment there I agree with witch! What's wrong with parents having a bit of a holiday too? If I thought my dc's would go to the creche at centerparcs I'd be in there like a shot. Sigh.

Thanks for the helpful comments (and Its not worth bothering replying to your comment nic although perhaps you have some helpful advice as to whAt I may do when I leave her with strangers when she goes to pre school? ) - will try to find somewhere like crèche to leave her but as you say aqueen if she hates it dh and I can take it in turns. Favourite toys a good plan too
