Advice needed, HELP!

Ok, so this is neither Behaviour nor Development, but it's a busy topic so I thought I'd pop on as I need HELP!!

DD, 10 months, has chicken pox. If we stay in the house all day she goes mad - rigid and screaming for hours (or so it feels). However, we aren't allowed out to baby groups (obviously) as she's still got spots appearing so is still contagious.

Question:
What on earth can I do to get out of the house with her? What is acceptable and what isn't?

Obviously I can go for walks, but with the weather forecast, I can't spend hours and hours pushing the pushchair in the snow... so:
Can I go to cafes? Shops? Library? Anywhere?

Please help - I'm going mad already and we've got at least another week of it to go, apparently! ARGH!

Poo. I was afraid that might be the answer. Looks like I'll be walking the streets in the snow. Ho hum.

But wont that leave the germs on the equipment for the other kids to pick up. How long do they stay on the slide etc?

I know it is hard but really, you need to stay at home - for the sake of other kids.

Sucks, i know, but it is part of having a little one!!

She won't be playing on things - she's only 10 months (in fact, she's more like 7 months as she was premature). I can surely go for walks with the pushchair with the raincover on? That'd have to be a very determined germ to get out!
