DS2 is nearly 6mo and seems to have regressed in the last week or two! Usually he would sleep from 6pm till 10pm when I would give him last feed and then he would sleep through till about 8am. About 3 weeks ago I started giving him his last feed at about 8pm and all was fine but then all of a sudden he has started going to sleep at 6, sleeping for about half an hour and then screaming until I feed him although he has only been fed at 4.30 so shouldn't be hungry!

He then has his bottle and will just not go back to sleep! I'm sat up with him till about 11 or 12pm most nights and then he will wake at 7. I just don't know what to do. He only generally has 2 naps during the day which are only about half an hour long.

I'm so tired as DS1 23mo is usually up at about 5.30-6. I just don't know what to do so any advice would be greatly received!

He is also having 2 meals a day of pureed food! Which he has taken to very well and seems to enjoy very much!

Didn't want to read and not respond. Honestly not sure, as obviously I don't know your DC. But most of ours went through brief periods of time where their sleeping just went haywire and they were up and fussy or demanding more food in the evenings, and then it just went away. It's possible it's just a phase or growth spurt, although I hesitate to say that, as we as parents hate to hear that, don't we? Maybe because if we can put it down to a reason, we can change it. LOL

Looks like you changed his feeding time a few weeks ago, and this started not long afterwards. Could it be the change of feeding time has just thrown him a little??

If DD had really had a growth spurt every time I blamed a change in her behaviour on one, she'd be about 10 foot tall by now

Seriously though, I agree with Triggles. DD is 6.5 months and, even though she's never been a very good sleeper, she's worse now than she was when she was 4/ 5 months. Combination, I think, of 6 month growth spurt, learning to inch backwards, roll over, teething (the list goes on!)

Sadly, I think we probably just have to ride it out. Not much help, I know, but hopefully just a phase. Can you sleep during the day at all?

I would try changing the daytime sleeps, perhaps giving him a cat nap around 4.30 or 5 and then put him down to sleep for good at 7.30 with bottle story cuddle bed.

Our DS3 has just hit 6 months, and I have noticed some changes in his sleep schedule in the last week or two. Since he's recently started solids as well, I will admit that I did chalk it up to all that listed by Pogger - just a combination of everything. I'm hoping it will settle down again soon.

Thanks guys I guess it's just a matter of riding it out! Is just tiring me out hopefully it will get better soon! Thanks again!
