Bouncy chair = pooey nappy

Ok - is it just my babies this happens to? Put them in a bouncy chair, promptly do enormous poo which, owing to position in seat, goes everywhere. DD - now three - did it during her bouncy chair period. DS - nearly four months - is doing it with a reliability worthy of a better cause. Would love to know if anyone else has this phenomenon or if we're just weirdos.

My DS used to do this but in his car seat regardless of having done at least one other poo in a day...take him out the car seat and he would stink!

I had that with dd, but not with ds. Interesting....

Think it must be the position or something. My daughter suffers from mild constipation and if I am trying to help her go, i put her in her walkie and it really helps!

Ds2 always pooed when I put him in the baby walker. Ds1 took to calling it the poopy walker!

DD always goes in her car seat.

Yes both my children always pooed in the bouncy chair! Have lent it to my sister-in-law and their baby also does!! Must be due to the angle they lie / sit in!!!

happens sometimes with mine & did with ds1 too i thought it was due to the vibrate thing on the chair

Yup happened with my DD when she was a baby - both bouncy chair and car seat got pooed over so much they became complete bio-hazard zones.

I used to diligently remove the covers, soak in napisan etc etc but then got fed up so just used to squirt a bit of dettol liquid at the offending poo, pat it dry with some kitchen roll and then plonk baby back in it again.
