i have a ds age 9 and dd age 5; have depression in my family and suffer myself, but manage it ok and have good support network.
ds found the arrival of dd v hard and has always been v jealous-things improved about a year ago when she began school.he
seemed pretty cheery as a toddler and when starting school but seems v serious now.
am worried about ds;he is gd at school has two close friends, but often moody, grumpy at home, only wants to go on ds (which i limit)somtimes tearful in evening( can't explain why), often asks to sleep in our room.
should i be worried? just find him so hard to read. try to stay positive at home and do things with him he likes-reading/cooking-but am i missing something?
any thoughts-thanks in advance.

They go through alot of hormonal changes at this age to prepare them for puberty. He may not be able to express how he's feeling so he's tearful. It's worthwhile talking to the school aswell though incase there's a (bullying/stress/exam) problem there.
