Hi,

Strange question, has anyone heard of a habit my lil 17 month old has...

he seems to be fascinated with eyes and poke you in the eyes plus ive seem him hold toys with eyes on them and push the eyes in on them as well..

if he's not facing you then his hand sometimes wanders up to your face and search for your eyes then give a poke

Feel stupid for asking this but need some help

Just gently discourage. My dd always liked eyes. My goddaughter liked poking ears and still fiddles with your ears absentmindedly if you're next to her, she's 9. It's just being a curious child and fixating on a body part.

trying to discourage at the moment but finding it hard as he does it to guests and family,
I'd hate to think he was poking eyes out at 9 still :O)
I know some lil ones hit out at other kiddies in play group etc etc but im worried as poking eyes could endanger other lil ones sight so you can imagine why i am so hazardous to get rid of this habit so quickly
