My ds is 3.5 and over the last 6 mths has become increasingly sensitive. This morning on the walk to school, when I asked him to hold my hand if he wanted to walk on the roadside part of the pavement (very busy road), he turned around and ran the other way. I think he did this because we were with other people and children and he was embarressed that i'd asked him to hold my hand. I didn't shout or raise my voice at all.I don't think it would've been an issue if we'd been on our own. his teacher in school says he's great and happy but if she does need to reprimand him
he giggles and goes red. Is anyone elses dc so sensitive at this age?

Hi, funnily enough DS 3.5yrs too saw a little girl from his pre-school yesterday who said "hello" to him, I said to say hello back but he just hid behind me and he had a proper blush all over and I noticed it was the first time I had seen that, so guess it's quite common about this age.
