6 month old hungry at night but not in day!

My 6 month old DD has consistently woken up just once in the night for a feed - she is back asleep within minutes so I know I am lucky. However, she has recently become much less hungry in the day - today for example she has had 20z of formula since 02:45am (its nearly midday now!) and I practically had to force these into her. I only give her the smallest amount of milk I can get away with at night, just enough to settle her (about 3oz), so I can't be overfeeding her.

How can I ensure she is hungry in the morning so she has a full days worth of feeds without depriving her of food at night??

What's she eating in terms of solids? Presumably at six months you're weaning. But they do go through hungry and less-hungry phases.

She is having varying amounts of purees - nothing more than a few spoonfuls a day. The problem is that by eving time, she is starving and so plays catch up then - I fear that if this continues, day will turn into night and vice versa eating-wise!
