Need to strengthen the arms?

I took DS (18wks) to a drop in clinic today. We saw a Nursery Nurse who told me that DS has a very weak upper body.

I thought he was doing pretty well myself, but she seemed to think there was a problem and that I needed to see my usual HV.

He hates tummy time with a screaming passion. He cannot lift his chest off the floor and support himself on his arms, but he can lift his head off easily. His head control has been excellent since birth.

He now sits unaided (no support), has taken a few cruising steps along the sofa and likes to walk round the house holding onto our fingers. But, he has not yet rolled either way.

The NN seeemed to think he should be doing push ups by now and at least rolling. DD never rolled so I'm not overly bothered by this.

Isit worth bringing this up with the HV or leaving it?
Many thanks.

He's cruising at 18 weeks? And sitting without support? Blimey. DD is weeks if not months away from doing that and she's 30 weeks now.

Surely you can't do that if you have a "weak upper body"?

If his muscle tone is good, I'd be inclined to ignore it and assume he'll get there in his own time. But I speak as a mum whose DD has singularly failed to hit every single milestone and who has been referred countless times to the paediatrician for it, only to be sent packing, so I may not be the best person to comment...

Thank you.
Just when you think things are going well, someone always manages to make you re-think everything. It would never have occured to me that not rolling over or doing push up was a problem...then the Nursery Nurse goes and makes me doubt.
He is a strong wee laddie...though apparently only in his legs! I'll forget about another trip to the HV- he seems to be going every few weeks for reflux probs anyway.
