I posted this on the special needs board, but it's been suggested that I post it somewhere general as well, so I hope you don't mind.
You may have heard of Gary McKinnon, the chap with Asperger's who is facing extradition to the US for causing damage to computers, despite there being no evidence that he caused any damage at all.
There is, until Feb 1st a petition to the government to halt the extradition and try him in the UK - UK voters can join this petition by texting GARY to 65000 at your standard network rate.

Gary's situation really is desperate, the more people who join the petition really can make a difference, so I hope that many of you will. The petition is open until Feb 1st, and is not for profit, but purely to demonstrate opposition to the extradition.
