DS (2.9) eats like a bird - will it get better with age?

My DS eats hardly anything compared to his friends. Often his entire food intake for the day would comfortably fit on one of his child plates. He is fairly fussy, though not to extremes - think it is just normal toddler fussiness. He just has very little appetite and is always more interested in everything else than food.

He is just below the 2nd centile and generally happy and energetic and (usually) sleeps well, so I know he is ok in himself, it would just be nice to see him eat a bit more than survival rations.

Am not really looking for a magic solution (we have tried lots of things like cooking and eating together, and bribery etc, without much success) but am interested to know if anyone had the same situation and found it improved by itself with age?

Just keep plugging away with lots of differnt things, my DS2 is 3 at the end of Jan and goes through phases, eating a yoghurt, some cheese and raisins one day, the like today porridge, half a cheese sandwich and a bowl of tuna pasta for dinner.

I would not worry to much about it, if he is hungry he will eat.

He's not filling up on too much milk or liquids is he? Does he go to pre-school or nursery where they eat? DS2 scoffs the lunch the 2 days he goes to pre-school, they all do, copying each other I think.

As long as he is healthy and happy and not underweight, it's not a problem.
