please help. my ds has started biting in anger. we have talked to him about moving waay/counting to ten/take a deep breath etc...but it just doesnt work. when he bites, we remove him from the situation/talk to him about other ways of handling anger, and remove a toy.(nintendo/tv/etc) he seems sorry, but it keeps happening. he is also punching/scratching too. he has up to now, been a loving, gentle boy. nothing has changed at home, and school say there is nothing wrong there. he does say though, that one particular boy is constantly nasty to him at playtimes, tripping him up/name calling/taking toys.this boy seems to be the alpha male in the group. how can i help him?

I think you need to go back to the school and ask them to observe playtimes to see what is happening to your son. If this is out of character, then I think it is probably the frustration building up from the behaviour of this other boy.

Hopefully the school will keep an eye out and try to get to the bottom of what is happening.
