My ds has started school and seems to love it and has made lots of friends. He has a friend though who asks to come and play after school everyday, it is getting very tiring. The friend has become very demanding and the mother looks on without saying a word so it is left to me to deal with. Am running out of excuses anybody got any suggestions for dealing with this.

Just say no not today. You do not have to make an excuse to a five year old or his mum. Could you suggest your ds goes to his house?

Yes I have tried that but I just don't want to do it on a daily basis. thank you for your help though.

How about making it a regular thing, but just once a week - say every Tuesday.

'They enjoy playing, why don't we make it every xxx'
