Have been trying to encourge DD to use a spoon and fork however she tries for a bit and then gives up, it is then hard to get her to eat anymore. If I just feed her, or its finger foods she eats much more and advice?

Then give her finger foods, and a spoon/fork to hold while you are popping spoonfuls in for her.She is still very little,it doesn't matter she will get the hang of it

hello my ds did this around the same age i think its just one of those things that they do and will grow out of doing. start her off with using spoon and fork then let her use her fingers. i know its messy but at least she is getting the food inside her and getting a little practice with cutlery. if she likes her food she is probably getting frustrated that she cant get it in her mouth quick enough.
does she throw her spoon and fork away? maybe show her different sets that she can choose from, plastic/metal or maybe different characters. hope that helps

She won't pick up messy foods as she doesn't like it on her fingers, she has to be really encouraged to lick it off rather thn wiped off.

Think i'm judging her a little in comparsion to her nursery attending friend and friends with a sibling.

thanks ladies
