Its all in the title really. Ds1 (4) was classic Baby Whisperer Grumpy child. He is now a really grumpy boy. And today I'm really feeling it.
This morning me,ds2(2) and ds1all snuggled on sofa, enjoying snow day off school with hot drinks and toast. Had small bit of flapjack left in breadbin so cut it in half and gave piece each to kids. Ds2 elated, muches it down, big smile, thanks mummy etc etc. ds2- screams 'i want a bigger bit, its not big enough'and so on and so on.
This evening at my Mums, they gave them each a small cup of lemonade - ds2 thrilled, sits down, drinks it. ds1 screams'i've not got as much, bubba's (ds2)got more than me and so on and so on.
Not a one off day - really illustrative of day-to-day life with him. And today I'm just fed up of it. This behaviour is never rewarded, its always dealt with calmly, model correct behaviour and eventually he will be polite - but my goodness I'm tired now.
How do you stay cheerful in the face of an endlessly grumpy child.
