I've had a bit of a cold for a while now, but it's getting better. I took my daughter to her friends birthday party today.
The parents were offered a glass of wine, so I'd had a glass. I don't usually drink, but my husband was there so I thought I'd treat myself.
Anyway, I was chatting to one of the mums and I suddenly sneezed. (no warning what so ever!) and two streams of snot came flying down my nose. I was mortified, as you can imagine. I quickly turned away and grabbed a paper napkin. The mum turned away and I think made out she didn't notice. I would love to think she didn't actually see it, but I'm sure she did.
What on earth must she have thought???

lol. I thought you were going to say that the sneeze made you wet her sofa. It really could have been a lot worse

Honeypeckle · 18/12/2009 20:41

At least you didn't snot into the wine..THAT would've been disastrous

mummyloveslucy · 18/12/2009 20:45

Lol, if the sneeze had made me wet the sofa, I'd have just said "I think one of the children has had a little accident". I'd have to retreat quickly, before they found out that all the children were dry.

I haven't even told my husband! I think he'd be disgusted with me.

nothing to worry about at all
everyone has done that sometimes

think no more of it

SixtyFootDoll · 18/12/2009 20:56

could have been worse you could have spelt embarrassed incorrectly?
sorry couldn't resist

mummyloveslucy · 18/12/2009 21:13

If I manage to spell anything correctly, I see it as a bonus. My spelling has always been somewhat abstract.
If I got every time I made a spelling mistake, I'd be cnstantly .
