DD keeps doing this and its driving me nuts

She crawls over a cries to get on my knee (which is lovely)butonce i pick her up she wiggles to get down,but as soon as i put her down ashe screams and bursts into tears

i dont know what to do , it goes on all day, shes just about to turn one.

Ooh wow, I thought I was the only one with a child like this!! My DS is coming up to 13 months and is like this all day at the moment. He screams to be picked up (arms raised), but once you pick him up he arches his back, kicks his legs and wriggles as if he wants to go down. However once put down, he starts screaming to be picked up, and the whole things starts all over again!! Its driving me totally mad as well!!!

I've no ideas to help I'm afraid, but am just trying to tell myself that it's just a phase, and will hopefully pass quickly!! I suspect it may be linked to separation anxiety as my DS also gets very upset if I leave the room, even for a few seconds!
