4.9 was dry at night, now wetting -- return to night pants?

We aren't getting much sleep. At first, I thought, well, we shouldn't go back to night pants because he has been fine and we don't want to go backwards... but now, I just want to get a good night's sleep.

Any advice appreciated, and also tips on how to convince ds that this is a temporary, but good, solution.

Hiya, i think if it was me i would put him back into night pants, something like thoughs huggie ones that look like boxer shorts. I wouldn't tell your son that they are night pants just say something like your buying new big boy pants because he's so grown up. That way you will have peace of mind and hopefully it will just stop in time x

We had to put ds1 (now 4.11) back in night pants when he started school in september as he was so tired he just didn't wake up to go to the loo so was wet most nights. he's still in them now and I think will be for the forseeeable future - really don't make an issue of it, surely he doesn't like waking up wet??

Personally, I wouldn't put him back in night pants, and I certainly wouldn't make it sem like a good thing.

That doesn't mean you have to make him feel bad about it, but he must be responsible, even at that age.

If he is extra tired, have you tried liftng him before you go to bed? Make sure he is fully awake when you do it though.
