ds2 has grey eyes. He is nearly 4 months and they are definately grey not blue or brown. Will his eyes change colour or will they stay grey? just wondering as i have never come across anyone with grey eyes before!

my dp has grey with a hint of blue eyes, dd has a mix of grey/green/blue

they are likely to change, dd had very dark blur eyes at that age but are totally different now

My dh has grey eyes (he says green but they're grey!) and my dd (4 months) also has grey at the moment.

bruffin · 10/12/2009 17:48

DH has grey eyes, DD 12 has grey/blue they seem to change daily, although they were a lot bluer when she was a baby.

Ds1's were grey, then they got browner (kept changing till he was about 4). Still not really brown now though. I put brown on the passport cos I couldn't describe it.

We need more colour descriptions for eyes, I think.

ds had bright blue eyes on his first birthday. Over the next couple of years they changed to a greeny hazel. Eye colour can change pretty late on.

What colour are your eyes (his dad's eyes)? My DD's were born with bright blue eyes (like mine) but DH has brown eyes (which is dominant apparently) so over about 6 years they gradually changed to brown. They were grey at one stage and even greenish for a bit.

bruffin · 11/12/2009 10:25

Mine and DS's are brown so you would have thought that they would be dominant, but only half my genes have brown eyes, so my dcs inherited a quarter brown genes and 3 quarter blue/grey genes.
The result of which is one dc with blue/grey and the other with brown.

I have grey eyes as does DS1

Fizzylemonade · 11/12/2009 13:24

There are photos of me at 12 and I have blue eyes, now they are grey/green! Don't know when it happened but they are definitely a different colour than they used to be.

Both my sons have blue eyes but my DH has really really blue eyes.

I like grey eye colour, it is lovely.
