my DS is now 7 years old...going on 15! Has developed this appalling attitude that I didnt expect to see until he was at least a teenager. Talks like a HOMEBOY (though not black), acts like a tough streetwise guy, and uses the most awful language. Keeps saying yeah, yeah, whatever and gives me so much cheek I am gobsmaxcked. I would not have dared to speak to my parents like that as a teenager...but he is only 7. What can I do?

Firstly (i'm not meaning to offend here), I'd contact MN and ask them to remove this post, then I'd write it again but ditch the "Talks like a HOMEBOY (though not black)" as it's a tad offensive IMO.

What are the little darlings like at his school? What is he watching on the TV at home? I'd normally suggest ignoring him, he's out for a reaction but it's a good idea to find out where he's learning all this.
