Tantrums - experienced parents please give me hope

My DD is 17 months and has started her terrible twos. My rational side knows this is something she has to go through developmentally - and that it's just a phase. I know how to distract etc but my ears hurt!! and it's stressful and distressing to see her so hurt and emotional.

But please, experienced parents tell me when the full-on, consistent tantrums began to subside in your LOs - what age?

I work but am actually beginning to dread Christmas now when I will have to spend all day with her for 2 weeks :-(

distract distract distract
for the holidsys plan short activities
it is more about her frustration at not being able to communicate with you - remember it is a phase it will pass just be calm look for what triggers tantrums and plan around them if possible- there is hope!
