not sure if ive posted in the right place. i have an 18mnth ds who i have stupidly given sugarfree cordial to from the age of 12mnths. i had no idea this was just as damaging to the teeth as sugared cordial. i have tried giving him water but he just screams and refuses to drink it. does anyone know if i put fruit in the water overnight to flavour it will this be damaging to his teeth as well. sorry about the stupid question.

I would just dilute it more and more each time until it's just water.

Agree with Megbusset, just keep weakening it.

As meg says or dilute real fruit juice 10 parts water to one part juice (or build upto that).

Giving juice with their meal is not so bad - just offer water the rest of the day. Don't leave the juice with him, he either drinks it with his meal or it goes away.

he already has it really weak but just goes ballistic when its just water. he would drink all day long if he had his way. he does eat plenty of food so hes not replacing his food with drink. callmelovercautious when you say fruit juice do you mean freshly squeezed orange or apple?
