Teething

6 month DS has the worst nappy rash & is pooing at least every hour, then screaming in pain. Is this just down to teething? Don't know what to do!

give pain relief. try some calpol at first, give maximum dose for age as often as is allowed and see if this makes a difference.

have you tried some detinox gel as well? its very nice.

Got ambesol & that seems to work a treat on his gums, but he doesnt seem in pain with them, just his rash. I try not to give Calpol too often but think this is an exception. Next dose in 2 hours. Fingers crossed he doesn't poo too often in night to wake him up, so at least he can sleep.

get Metamian in Boots tomorrow and slap it on his arse good and thick- poor thing is probably in agony - my DS had the same and it's very unpleasant.
