Hey wise folks,

When did your kids go into big beds/have bars takn off cots?

I am TERRIFIED of our dd waking up in the night and hurting herself some how.

How have you taking step against this? Foe example we have dd's clothes in a chest of drawers... she likes to open them... on herself...

DD went into a big bed at just under the age of 2 as she wasnt happy in the cot any more. DS was 2 1/2 as he was quite happy where he was and never tried to escape, etc. I never changed anything in the room so they had clothes in drawers and the wardrobe plus books, toys, etc

DD was just over 2 although i was 7 months pregnant so it wasn't intentional! Basically she refused to go in the travel cot when we were on holiday and insisted on goin into the big girls bed. We had a single bed t home and moved her into it- bettter than a cot bed because DH or i can curl up with her if she wakes and gets upset in the night. falling out hasn't been a problem nor has she tried to open drawers etc
