DD is 3.9yo and still has it for bedtime

DS is 2.7yo and has his during the day if he's grumpy and at bedtime.

I want to give them both to santa this year, and need lots of tips!

The Dummy Fairy came to our house when DD turned three, and took away the dummy in the night, and left a present.

DD does not like dummy fairy.

Mine didn't have dummies, they had thumbs. I managed to bribe them to give up, after a long struggle, when they were about 6/7. However, DS still sucks his thumb, very occasionally, when he is very tired and thinks no-one is watching. He is 16

ds is 2.2 and still has his at night. I'm not going to rush him in to giving it up just yet as dc2 is due in 4 weeks. May try in the summer, but don't want to ruin his fantastic sleeping habits, so it'll be gently does it!

Ds was about 2.5, all of his own accord too! he has Cerebral palsy and couldnt keep it in but cried the minute it fell out, twas the bain of my life! one night i tried repeatedly to get him to take it as he had every other day and night in his life and he wouldnt open his mouth, plain refused and never took it again after that!

DS1 was ment to give his dummies to Santa when he was 3.10 but told me in no uncertain terms that the dummy fairy would come for it when he was 4!
So she came a couple of monhts later, left fairy dust and a present and took his 3(!) dummies away for all the new babies that now need dummies more than big boys.
That bedtime he asked for his dummies, I had to remind him they had gone and he kind of shrugged his shoulders and went to sleep . Never looked back.

DS2 never sucked anything...

DS3 20 months old has dummy in bed or to calm him after temper tantrums.

Good luck!

My friend used the "the baby reindeer need your dummies when santa comes" and her DD's were virtually spitting them out to give to santa!
