3yo DD plays too rough with lil bro

Hi all, experience/advice sought! 3 yo DD was always a gentle little girl with other children, but now she has started at a rural preschool with 8 boys and 2 other girls. Her new little girlfriends are complete bruisers and most of the boys are too, and so unsurprisingly, she is now knocking round her 2 yo brother like you wouldn't believe, all in the name of "play". What can I do to calm her down and discourage this? I am hoping it's a phase, but I can't see the preschool environment changing.

Cheers,

Laura

Hi laura iv a 3.2yr old and a 19 month old and i get loads of this 'rough play' the only way i can calm my Ds1 when he gets a bit too much is getting down to his level, askin him to look at me (i usually gently place my hands on his arms to focus him completely to me) and explain the behaviour is unacceptable because he will hurt his little brother and i would never let anyone hurt him and he should never hurt anyone else... He apologises gets a cuddle and chills a bit... For a bit... It really is quite normal and at least ur DD will be able to hold her own in big school and Ds def will after all his sisters training!
