all right, my problem is not really a problem but it's starting to drive me nuts and dh as well. My lovely 9mths old dd has been for months now frantically, and I do mean frantically, blowing raspberries about 90% of her waking time. Funny as it may sound, it's long stopped amusing us particularly at mealtimes ! I'm not looking for a magical remedy but rather for an explanation. Is it a way to communicate ? is she preparing her jaw muscles for speech ? why do they do it ? any idea anyone ?

My DD did this also - I found the only way to stop it was to get her to do something else, I think a kiss or a Moo or something. anything just to take her mind off the rasperry! She does it now occassionally and I just say no, and she shakes her head and laughs. Then I say kiss instead and kiss her allover. Workes for me.
