any ideas how to stop my 5yr old dd from almost constantly sucking her fingers?

we have tried rewards but she says she likes sucking them more!

i don't want to be harsh but she's in yr 1 at school and surely the teasing will start soon.

i did ask her teacher to help and she said she would send dd to wash her hands when she did it but that doesn't seem to have made any difference.

i would really appreciate any suggestions!

You can't really unless they want to stop.

That nail biting stuff doesn't work either.

The only thing that stopped DS1 was when the brace he had to correct the damage to his teeth/jaw meant he physically couldn't get his thumb in.

I am currently trying to convince DD (3) that Santa is watching and Won't Be Pleased.
