Hi
I have just received the following message from a very good friend who is at the end of her tether and wondered if the wisdom that is Mumsnet could help....

Why has my 6 month old started having screaming temper fits at about 5.30pm every day, won't take bottle or dummy, just screaming to the point of shaking and heaving. Had Calpol and bum change but still going - has been for over a hour! It's killing me.

Tired/overtired. I'll bet my life savings on it!

My Ds (8 months)did this near to bed time for a while until I realised that he was overtired. I began to recognise the signs and managed to get him to bed before the screaming started. If he does this too early for bed then i let him have a short nap just to take the edge off his tiredness.
