9 year old dd behaviour going down the pan!

Has anybody else got a 9 year old dd who for some reason just cannot tow the line anymore? She can't tolerate her 7 year old sibling anymore, and wants to argue over anything. This morning, a pair of socks!! We're having the same disagreements day in day out and I seem to be constantly on her case. I'm fed up and she doesn't seem to want to see the error of her ways? Any suggestions gratefully received. jtbgogogo

Not got a 9 year old but got an 11 year old just the same! I really am at my wits end too, so not very much help I'm afraid but I do sympathise and you are not alone! Try to stay calm yourself.

use santions and stick to them. my DS9 goes through phases of being a right PITA. but he also love his computer time so if he argues/teases with his little sister, esp in the morning when we are on a deadline because of school/work then he gets a clear warning,
then looses[sp] his time on the comp for that day. but you must stick to the consequence other wise they know they can wear you down and you give in, then its pointless.
