The last couple of days have been hell, my son has always had a strong will and been a stroppy boy, but the last couple of days has got even worse. He has just turned 2 and goes into a strop at the drop of hat, he is so strong I find it hard to put him in his pram cos he kicks against me, same thing with a shopping trolley, when he's in that he crys till I pass him something, then he throws it on the floor, he kicks out at me when I am trying to change him, he throws his food on the floor!!!! I have tried to naughty corner...doesn't seem to work very well.

So today he woke from his nap in his usual bad mood and as I changed he kicked me, I told him to stop and he did it again, So I told him he had to say sorry, he cried for over an hour, as I ignored him and he begged to be picked up....but I stood firm and kept telling him that when he said sorry I would pick him up....after another half hour and him banging his head on the floor repeatedly...I gave up and picked him up and calmed him down, as he was in a bad state.....so did I do the wrong thing, are all 2yr old this bad or is it just my son and WHAT AM I DOING WRONG????????

I love him sooo much and so does his dad, we are a strong couple in are 30's and maybe we give him too much attension, I am at the end of my tether, all suggegtions and comments appreciated, gonna be crying again tonight.

Hi tg5 - I don't really have specific advice for you because although my husband and I have gone through many difficult moments with our daughter, some of the issues were a bit different. However, we found this book to be very useful. It had some very good advice that I applied and seemed to work quite well. Good luck and remember this too shall pass. 2 year olds can be hard!
