Does anyone elses 3+ year old go to bed at 6pm or earlier?

DS is 3.4 and goes to bed anytime between 6 and 9:30. Recently however he has been asking to go anytime after 5pm. I finally gave in today and let him go up rather than have him stroppy for an hour. Hopefully he won't be up too early.

My dd goes to bed at about 6/6.30 at the moment. She's 5 in Jan and is knackered from school !

She gets up about 7

ds is 5yo and goes to bed at 6 (though it takes about 1/2 hour to do bath/story/get him ready).

Later on weekends sometimes or if we're out doing something.

He gets up anywhere between 6.30 and 7.30am. We have to get him up at 7.30 for school adn sometimes it takes a while!

I've always needed a lot of sleep though and I think he takes after me in that respect.

My two (3 + 1), have gone to bed at 4.30pm for the last three days, and get up at 8ish. 'Usual' bedtime is 6pm though, so the dinner/bath routine starts at 5pm.

DDs go to bed at 6.30. Start getting ready about 6.15, all quiet by 6.45.

Wow, you lucky, lucky people. My DS goes to bed at 7/7.15pm and we think we're lucky!!!

My boys (2 & 1) have tea at 5pm and are both sitting on the bottom step of the stairs waiting to go up for their bath by 5.50pm. bath/story takes about 30mins and they are asleep with a talking book cd on by 6.30pm. It does vary at weekends but only by about 30mins or so as they are so knackered they cant focus on anything. Thats them down til 6.30am

Mine are in bed by 6pm, not religiously if we have guests or are out and about it's later. They're up at 7:30-8:00.

where on earth do you get these children?!!??!

popsycal - because DS1 was only 11months old when DS2 was born, I had to have a strict bedtime routine else I would never have coped. DH was working until 9pm at night so for my own sanity I needed to have them asleep reasonably early and then I could get the house organised and the washing done.

{sob} 3.3 yr old DD goes to bed at 8 or slightly earlier if she asks to go if she's tired. Regardless of bedtime, she sleeps no more than 10-10.5 hours a night so putting her to bed earlier would mean her getting up at 4 or 5am and I'm not having that!!! She used to sleep for 12 hours or so a night but that all went pear-shaped at around 2.5.

My ds any time between 7 - 8 he still wakes up during the night (4ys) whether it be a drink or dream etc) either me or dh has to tuck him back in etc but my younger ds 18mths is a dream same time every night 6.45 not a peep all night and just lies and talks in the morning about 7.15 till you get him up, have been known to leave him and he has fallen back asleep with my second I followed a strict routine from birth which seems to have done the trick or maybe just lucky.... 3rd on the way so watch this space please, please be a sleeper!!!!
