I'm starting to go slightly mad with my 18 week old dd. She is fiercely independent and seems to want to do everything that her big brother (2.8) does. She gets very grumpy and frustrated with herself, and screams with rage. I hate to see her like this, and have tried just about everything I can think of to keep her happy and entertained.
I was given a baby walker, and she loves scooting about in it for a while, but then gets frustrated because she can't get toys that she drops off the tray. She also loves to stand up and hold on to the sofa, or be held in a standing position on my lap. Being on the floor frustrates her, as she tries to get crawling but can't quite manage it yet. She plays with her baby gym toys, but then screams and hits them when she realises that she can't pull the toys off.
Does anyone else have this problem? I feel that things will get so much better when she becomes mobile, but I wish I knew what to do in the meantime. When she's not frustrated she's such a happy, smiley little girl, and I just want to help her to be happier!
