2 year old and HV check-up?

Does every 2yo have to have a check-up with the HV? DS is coming up to two, but hasn't seen the HV since he was 8mo..

Just wondering..

My DS never had a 2 year check up! I got a letter in the post to say if I had any concerns to contact my HV.

My area do them at 2.5, we went in Sept but it varies a bit.

It was things like, can they scribble, talk a bit, any concerns about sight/hearing, can they jump/climb stairs.

we dont get an 8 month or 2 year check here so check with your hv that they still do them.

I got one for dd2 but at request, but they do do them here at 2.5 years. They have now said they will give her a 3year check too

no. they just sent a letter with milstones on and said to ring if any problems.

dd just got her appointment through, she will be 2.4

We only get an 8mth check here. After that you just get letters with the milestones on and asked to make an appointment if you think there's a problem.

I got one on request when gecko was 2.3

apart from immunisations, there is no HV check at any age here in central scotland. if you have concerns then you just contact them.

We have a 2 year check in our area but my dd has sn and we are rather sick of her being assessed so we didn't go!!

Same as ruddynorah, we got a letter when DD turned 2 two weeks ago telling us they don't do 2 year checks anymore with a leaflet telling us what DD should be able to do. And that we can call if we have any concerns.

They've just started doing them in my area again recently. DD is 2.2 and has hers in November.
